Speak of the Devil
Formed in 2011 as a convergence of members of various Steamboat Springs bands, lead singer and guitarist Jon Gibbs and original bass player Bryan Joyce decided it would be fun to create a band that covered primarily Black Sabbath tunes - which they both grew up listening to and appreciating from an early age. With Pat Waters on the drums, this became a reality. Initially the band decided to learn the live solo Ozzy Osbourne album entitled "Speak of the Devil" in it's an entirety, and as a result, decided to give the band the same name. From there, they chose several other favorite Black Sabbath tunes, along with a handful of Metallica tunes and various songs by bands like AC/DC and Motley Crue and with that, had a full repertoire of hard-hitting heavy metal tunes with which to melt faces. With the addition of Andy Irvine on bass, the band is now taking the music to new levels.
